5 Boston Wedding Activities to Add to Your Big Day

Boston Wedding DJ | Boston Wedding Planning | Wedding Guest Activities

If you have guests coming from out of town to celebrate your wedding, they’re likely coming for more than just one night. But how are you supposed to keep them busy? While it’s absolutely not your responsibility as the Bride or Groom, it’s nice to provide your guests with some suggestions as to how they can spend their time in Boston. We always recommend adding in some spots that are special to you and your beau, but here is a list of some of our favorite spots in the city in case you need some ideas!

  1. Rehearsal Dinner

Some couples opt to include all their out-of-town guests in their rehearsal dinner. For many couples, this is the night when most guests arrive in town, and it allows you to say hello to them without having to worry about it on your wedding day! Allow your guests some time to check into their hotel and drop off their stuff before meeting you at one of these high-end Boston dining spots.

  1. Museums

If you’ve lived in Boston for a while, you’ve probably visited all the iconic museums the city has to offer. But remember, your guests probably haven’t! Museums are a great way for guests of all ages to spend the morning before a wedding.

  1. Post-Wedding Drinks At The Hotel

Just because the reception ends at 10 doesn’t mean the party has to! When booking a room block for your out-of-town guests, consider booking a hotel with a bar for them to visit after the wedding. Whether you and your new spouse decide to join them there and continue the celebration or want to sneak off to another hotel entirely, it will offer your guests somewhere to wind down after all the excitement.

  1. Brunch

If you aren’t rushing off on a tropical honeymoon, what’s the next best way to celebrate being newlyweds? We’d suggest a boozy brunch. There are tons of iconic brunch spots in Boston, but these are some of the most unique experiences for you and your guests, even if they aren’t feeling 100% after a long night on the dance floor.

  1. Catch a Sox Game

Is it even a trip to Boston if you didn’t see a Red Sox game? If your wedding is during baseball season, we highly suggest that your guests visit Fenway Park. Whether they’re die-hard Red Sox fans or couldn’t care less about the sport, Fenway is an experience that they won’t want to miss out on!
